On Wednesday my mate Wilson and I set off up the trail at Bloody Bridge and it had a great time. We set a mid pace but even at that I was surprised how easy I scaled it without really being out of breath. Six months ago this would have really killed me. We got to the top of the trail and the weather started to change for the worse and so we came back down. We got some great pictures of the river as we descended and took in God’s creation. After that we went for a second walk along the old railway trail across Dundrum bay. All in all we spent two to two and a half hours walking and had a ball. We stopped for lunch in the sandwich deli Hanlon’s in Downpatrick – highly recommended and beats the likes of Subway hands down.
A great morning was had by all.
Me at the top of the trail.
